A Month of Sundays edition by Lynne Grainger Health Fitness Dieting eBooks

In A Month of Sundays, author Lynne Grainger’s journalistic tale of twenty-nine Sundays plays out in a diary tone inspired by the free-spirited choice of each Sunday’s unconventional outfit and her love’s ensuing photograph. Alongside Grainger’s documented fashion choices, life goes on effortlessly while breakfast is shared in The Big Girl, the Frenchman prepares for Guatemala, and decorated eggs are uncovered. Grainger grounds us with the progression of love, the loss of a loved one, and her travels through continuing growth and fun.
By the turn of the last page, we’ve been carried through life’s spontaneity while engaged in myriads of transformational changes. We learn to reconsider what’s most important in this great journey of our own, and most of all, to not take ourselves—or our wardrobes—too seriously.
A Month of Sundays edition by Lynne Grainger Health Fitness Dieting eBooks
Lynne Grainger's work is a splendid way to spend, well, a Sunday afternoon. I'm no slave to fashion, and appreciate her honest, freestyle feelings about a day of rest. The book isn't really about fashion, nor is it a “chic” book. Her “fashion statement” gives one the feeling she likes to dress in the dark.In reality, she doesn't rest much and most of the Sundays end up with vigorous, long-distance, bicycle rides, swims and other high-energy engagements.
Her love of life comes through. She inspires the reader to stand back and look at their own lives, I certainly did. Having survived a six-artery heart bypass operation, I too have come to appreciate every day, and this book made me stop and think about how I spend my time, how I interact with those around me and take life in.
A Month of Sundays is inspirational, a fun read, and takes one on a journey inside their own life. Thanks Lynne.

A Month of Sundays edition by Lynne Grainger Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
A great read that made me so much more in tune with my own life. Lynne Grainger took me on a wonderful journey that warmed my heart and made me realize how important it is to cherish even the most "normal" moments.
Delightfully delicious.
An intimate revealing pastiche of 28 sunday cameos of the author's life with the Frenchman. Her self observation is so refreshing and quite beautiful. Her ability in each short piece for each of her Sundays gives you not only a "fly on the wall" look at Lynne and the Frenchman's life but deep self observations. She exposes herself to the extent that you feel her joy and her sorrows. It's witty, funny and quirky all at the same time. I really loved this book.
This book is really good. I loved it. I first bought it as a paperback book. It reminds me of the trilogy "Griffin and Sabine". Lynne could be your neighbor next door, or your best friend, or even your sister.
This is a book about a real person who likes to laugh, play, dress up, and ask for what she wants. It's raw, real and funny. It reminds us to remember that life is fun and should be relaxing, especially on Sunday. This book is a great bedside-table book, a bathtub read or a book to place on the coffee table.
Too often we read books that seem to have been re-written over and over again to get the wording just right. This book comes from the heart and it's as if you're talking to Lynne over a cup of coffee.
A good book to get-just to have something different to read.
Lynne Grainger has done an exceptional job in sharing her love of life in a refreshing easy read - journaling 29 days of Sundays - representing (to this reviewer) those days in life that we push work and responsibilities aside, and focus on self spending time with the people we love, in places that ground us, and letting laughter, joy and discovery back into our agenda.
